羽鳥は自身の「弱さ」や「脆さ」に向き合うことで、ありのままの 自分をキャンバスの上に曝け出す。それは、「虚栄心」や「自尊心」、 「トラウマ」によって蓋をしていた根源的な感情や初期衝動を キャンバスの上で取り戻す行為でもある。

多様な色彩感覚で描き出される「喜び」「怒り」「哀しみ」や 「心地よさ」などの感情は、渾然と混ざり合いながらもキャンバスの 中で同時に存在する。

時に躊躇い、苦悩しながらも鮮やかな色彩で表現される作品は、 私たちのさまざまな感情を肯定する。多種多様な価値観が入り混じり、 正解がひとつではない現代社会において、羽鳥の表現は、人種や信仰、 文化の壁などさまざまな障壁、偏見を取り払い、私たちの心象風景に 強く訴えかける一筋の光となり得る。

By facing his own weakness and fragility, Hatori lays himself bare on the canvas. It is an act of reclaiming the primal emotions and first impulses that vanity, pride, and trauma had sealed away.

Joy, anger, sorrow, comfort — emotions drawn out through his manifold sense of color mingle into one another, yet exist simultaneously within the canvas.

Hesitant and anguished at times, yet rendered in vivid color, his works affirm the whole range of our emotions.
